Thunderbirds Captures Lead Early To Defeat Fireballs
Fireballs watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 17-1 loss to Thunderbirds on Tuesday. Thunderbirds scored on a double by Alisa Stuchevski, a single by Yehudit Nosgorodsky, a single by Dena Denkberg, a single by Noa Paley, a single by Elianna Meister, and a triple by Ariel Argi in the first inning.
The Fireballs struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Thunderbirds, giving up 17 runs.
Thunderbirds got things started in the first inning when Stuchevski doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
Stuchevski took the win for Thunderbirds. The pitcher allowed one hit and one run over four innings, striking out five.
Aly Robinson took the loss for Fireballs. Robinson surrendered 17 runs on 16 hits over four innings, striking out four.
Efrat Yakov led Fireballs with one hit in two at bats.
Thunderbirds tallied 16 hits on the day. Stuchevski, Argi, Nosgorodsky, Paley, Meister, and Denkberg each had multiple hits for Thunderbirds. Thunderbirds didn’t commit a single error in the field. Yael Galpert had the most chances in the field with five.
