Kantor Strong at the Plate as Team Misgav Defeats Mean Judeans
Ben Kantor would not be denied at the plate on Monday, picking up five hits and leading Team Misgav to a 30-4 win over Mean Judeans. Kantor tripled in the first, singled in the first, homered in the second, singled in the third, and homered in the third.
An early lead helped propel Team Misgav to victory. Team Misgav scored on a triple by Kantor, a groundout by Ivri Margolin, an error, a single by Michael “Mikie” Rosenfeld, a double by Ofer Bobrov, a triple by Dan Winnick, and a single by Kantor in the first inning.
Team Misgav scored 12 runs in the third inning. Winnick, Kantor, Oren Bobrov, Louie Miller, Rosenfeld, and Winnick all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Winnick got the start for Team Misgav. Winnick allowed three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one.
Tabie Mercer toed the rubber for Mean Judeans. The hurler went two innings, allowing 18 runs on 14 hits and striking out one. Yegal Brownlee threw one inning in relief.
Team Misgav smacked five home runs on the day. Kantor put one out in the second and third innings. Rosenfeld went for the long ball in the third inning. Margolin had a four bagger in the third inning. Aviv Bobrov went yard in the second inning.
Team Misgav tallied 23 hits. Winnick, Kantor, Bobrov, Bobrov, Mordy Roth, Bobrov, and Rosenfeld all managed multiple hits for Team Misgav. Kantor and Winnick each collected five hits to lead Team Misgav.
Brownlee led Mean Judeans with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
