Mean Judeans Lose Lead Early in Defeat
Mean Judeans watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-2 loss to Cerveceros on Monday. Cerveceros took the lead on a in the second inning.
The Mean Judeans struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Cerveceros, giving up 11 runs.
Cerveceros got things started in the second inning.
Cerveceros scored six runs in the seventh inning. Cerveceros’s big inning was driven by a single by Urisleidys “Pipo” Ramirez, an error on a ball put in play by David Jaim, and a double by Jorge Guilarte Abad.
Saul Kaim took the win for Cerveceros. The lefthander went four innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out three and walking one. Rubert Novas threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Yaron Ben Israel took the loss for Mean Judeans. The pitcher lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out four.
Cerveceros tallied two home runs on the day. Kaim put one out in the fifth inning. Novas had a homer in the fifth inning.
Yegal Brownlee and Oshriel Brownlee all had one hit to lead Mean Judeans.
Cerveceros saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Kaim and Jairon Corporan Portorreal all managed multiple hits for Cerveceros.
