With great sadness the ISA is mourning the passing of our dear friend Jack Fireman who passed away on Sunday at the age of 81. Jack begam sponsoring the Toronto Gators in the early 1990’s making an immediate for the litigators helping them become the kings of Men’s Fastpitch Softball, winning two ISC championships and four Canadian championships. Throughout the years, Jack provided fundings for the Maccabi Canada softball program, providing opportunities for Jewish players to compete in Israel at the Maccabiah games, coming away with gold medals in 1993 and 1997.

“Jack was also instrumental in making dreams come true for a bunch of young Canadians, participating in various Maccabi Fastpitch Events. His love for the sport was second to none!” Said Corey Vyner about Fireman. “His love for his players went well beyond that of an owner/sponsor.Always looking to help those in need…Jack, you were a class act, both on and off the field”.

Rest in peace our dear friend. The heavens just received a great one!
