Gezer09 struck first in the top of the first inning scoring two runs after P.S Sox pitcher Nadav Divone walked in the first run of the game. Michael Marunov took advantage of a miscue Divone wild pitch to score the second run of the top frame. After a leadoff double by Aviv Yakov in the top of the third, Marunov drove him in on a line-drive single to center field. Yoav Eliyahu added a solo shot, which gave the visitors a 4:0 lead.

Marunov was masterful on the mind pitching 7 shutout innings allowing only one hit, striking out 12. On the other end, the promising Divone allowed six hits and four runs while striking out four.
