The fall of 2013, Corey Vyner and Brian Klaff, who were the coaches of the Israel U-19 National Team, decided to break away from Penticon to create a developmental team for their young players from Moshav Maor and Zikhron Yaakov, who needed more experience to be able to compete internationally. They recruited Randy Kahn to join them as one of the player-coaches, and the Warriors were born.
The team was surprisingly competitive in its first spring season, finishing in second place in the B Division, and by the following year the team had won its first division championship and qualified for the top tie, Led by national team players: Elan Zashin, Adi and Kfir Leon, Bar and Gal Shrem, Ben Rosenberg, Yomi Klaff, Yuval Barak, Yoni Aron, and Raz Shuker. the team continued to rise through the ranks until qualifying for its first Finals appearance in 2016.
The addition of top hitter Dan Winnick was supposed to push the team over the top to its first Championship in 2017, but a 2-1 loss in Game 3 of the Finals left the team hungry for more. Finally, in 2018 the breakthrough came. the Warriors were on top of the ISA. The team won the 2019 Fall League championship.
Today, the Warriors are still under the guidance of Corey Vyner, and they continue to reside toward the top of the A Division every year.
